3D laser scanning

One of the major challenges for built environment professionals is the acquisition of topographical, useable, accurate data.

The 3D laser scanning technology, used at LandPartners, addresses this challenge and allows our spatial team to deliver significant benefits to clients offering even greater efficiencies and capabilities in the fields of surveying, town planning, urban design, engineering, architecture, environmental management and landscaping.

Scanning technology is increasingly being used on many of our projects with diverse applications and delivering solutions in areas that previously were considered impossible to achieve. LandPartners can provide cost effective and innovative solutions to capture data on large and/or complicated sites and structures.

LandPartners adopts an integrated approach to the delivery of new technology by working closely across our disciplines to deliver a complete package to our clients from data capture to final design.

With its associated powerful software, Cyclone, and add on suite, CloudWorx for AutoCAD, 3D scan data is easy to use and incorporate into existing design packages.

ScanStation 2, the 3D laser scanner used by LandPartners, is the first instrument to combine four critical total station features into one scanner for as built and topographic detail surveys providing for our clients full-field of view, survey-grade dual-axis (tilt) compensation, survey-grade accuracy for each measurement and an excellent, useful range.

This dramatically faster scanner also allows users to collect data in tighter time frames, reduces the necessary time spent in hazardous locations, provides project results at a faster rate, collects larger completed data sets and allows for project tweaking as the information is being collated.

For LandPartners’ clients, the major benefits are to be found in cost savings, time savings, better data collection and safety.
