Joerg Deinert

Australia, and working at LandPartners, is everything Joerg Deinert hoped it would be.

‘I was coming to the end of my career in Germany’ Joerg said.

‘At home, after completing your university studies, people tend to travel. I didn’t do this so I thought to myself – why not do it now!’

Within months after first seeing the advertisement to work for LandPartners in Australia, Joerg was in Brisbane and working on one of the largest infrastructure developments in the city, the North-South By-Pass tunnel.

‘This is a huge project, the work is interesting and my skills are being challenged on a daily basis. It is certainly living up to my expectations’.

Despite missing his German beer – Pilsner being his favourite drop – Joerg is certainly finding his way in the sunshine state,

‘I really have no immediate desire to return home, the weather is great, the people are very friendly and helpful and of course, I really enjoy the pacific ocean’ Joerg said.

Oktoberfest in Brisbane is just around the corner and perhaps if they serve a good pilsner, Joerg may just stay here forever.
