World Youth Day is an international forum run by the Catholic Church and the NSW state government, and promises to be the largest gathering of people in one place in Australia’s history with some 500,000 participants expected to attend at least one event during the World Youth Day week, taking place at Randwick racecourse and Bangaroo in east Darling Harbour.
LandPartners, a leading national built environment firm, has been appointed in conjunction with LHO Group, a firm of multidiscipline engineers, as the water service coordinator for World Youth Day 2008.
‘We are very much looking forward to supporting an event of this scale, as it will be a real opportunity to showcase the expertise and skills of our water services team,’ Greg Oxley, LandPartners’ Project Director said.
LandPartners will be providing water service coordination for the duration of the event which will involve liaison with Sydney Water, engineers and government regarding the planning for the event as well as design services for water and wastewater systems that will service the two areas in which the event will be held.
